Who We Are

The St. Andrew's Society of Rhode Island's purpose is to provide educational opportunities for its membership and the general public to participate in programs designed to foster and develop a better understanding of the history, culture and traditions of Scotland.

The Society endeavors to be the focal point for cultural awareness and re-awakening within not only the Scottish and Rhode Island communities, but also the more general population of the New England states through participation and/or presence at various Highland Festivals or similar events during the year.

In particular, our annual Burn Supper is endorsed by the RI Historical Preservation & Heritage Commission in recognition of its cultural importance. Please enjoy this video prepared for the RI Heritage Month’s Virtual Celebration in 2021.
